JML Pty Ltd was the brain child of experienced sports fisherman Tony Shao. Tony has been one of the major influences behind introducing high end, top quality Japanese fishing technology to the Australian market.
JML focuses on producing and importing the highest quality fishing products for the Australian sports fishing fraternity. We concentrate our efforts towards producing products that continually catch winning fish on the Australian Bream, Bass and Barra Tournament scene, where the most elite anglers in the country showcase their angling abilities.
With a subtle blend of Japanese lure technology and Australian fishing knowledge we have been able to work with our Japanese companies like Ecogear to continually produce the most technologically advanced fishing products for Australia.

JML was established and commenced to import Ecogear soft plastics (Grass Minnows, Paramax, power shad) and Ecogear jig heads.
[ 2004 ]
JML added YAMATOYO fishing line range - another top quality brand, to our growing list of products.
JML started to import EGILEE squid jigs and associated products from the Ecogear range.
JML started the development of Ecogear hard bait range. Our first lures were SX 48F for bream and VT 55 & 65 for bass.
JML introduced the SX 40F and introduced Ecogear Premium Hard Bait Range.
JML changed our original packaging and up-graded terminal tackle on our lure range to Owner.

JML released 4 new hard body lure into the Ecogear Premium Hard Bait Range - VX 35, VX 40, MX 48F, PX 45F

New releases of hard body lures (VX,MX,and PX) were sold out in the first week of launch.
New exciting lures are being tested and made utilizing local Australian Pro Staff knowledge, whilst incorporating Japanese concepts and technology.
