Retrieve Technique - CK50F2
Retrieve Technique
1. Retrieve Technique for Surface

A highly effective technique is slowly twitching the lure across the surface with a slow deliberate downward rod action, continually allowing the lure to float back towards the surface. This technique works across flats in both fresh and salt water.

2. Retrieve Technique for Flats

This lure works across flats especially when deeper sections of the flats or drop-offs are holding the fish. Cast the lure across the flats, working it back in a slow constant retrieve until the edge of drop-off when an increased retrieval and rapid downward movement of the rod will see this lure dive rapidly towards the bottom and past the feeding fish.

3. Retrieve Technique for Trolling

This lure is great for trolling around contours of the bank or trolling through thermals where fish are holding. Try different colours from the ‘mat’ finishes to the more natural lure colours for continual success.

4. Retrieve Technique for Freshwater Impoundments/ Dams

Great for fishing around weeded or lily padded edges. Look for gaps in the weed / lilies working the lure as close as possible to the structure as possible without snagging.

Recommended Outfit

- Spinning outfits between 6 to 12lb
- 2000 to 3000 size reel
- Bait casting outfits between 6 to 14lb

Colour Choice
As a general rule, use natural baitfish colours on fine days and in clear water, and bright colours on overcast days and in muddy waters.
